School Vision Screening

Milwaukie Lions partner with the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation each school year to screen the vision of elementary school students throughout the North Clackamas School District.

Our Impact

In the 2019–2020 school year, we screened 4,600 students at 20 schools, referring approximately 1 in 10 students for follow-up with their eye doctor. Early detection of vision problems is critical to a child’s ability to learn and thrive in school.

We provide screenings for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade across all North Clackamas School District elementary schools.
